Visitor Experience

The health and safety of our guests, staff, and community is our highest priority. With this in mind, the Minnesota History Center has made some important updates to promote social distancing during your visit.

Tickets

Tickets are timed-entry. Advanced tickets are available by calling 651-259-3015. A limited number of walk-up tickets are available and must be purchased before 3:00 pm. The museum closes at 4:00 pm.

Gale Family Library

The Gale Family Library is open by appointment to on-site researchers. Distance services are also available. Details.

Shop

The museum store is open during museum hours. Also find great goods anytime at mnhs.org/shop.

Exhibits

Some exhibits have been removed or modified to allow for social distancing. Updated cleaning protocols are in effect for high touch surfaces like buttons and touch screens. Staff members are available to share information and answer questions.

Dining

Dining services are temporarily unavailable.

Health and safety

Visitors are required to wear a mask in accordance with Governor Walz’s Executive Order 20-81. Visitors who don’t bring a mask will be given one. Please maintain a 6-foot distance from other visitors and staff. If you are feeling sick, have flu-like symptoms, or have been in contact with someone who has recently had COVID-19, please visit us another time.
