Helping Minnesotans find affirmation, support, comfort, and connection.
History at Heart is an outdoor art installation that builds connections in the absence of community. The project began in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and transformed after the murder of George Floyd. Using everyday materials, visitors have left over 3,000 handwritten messages at sites across Minnesota.
“Just when I started crying as I’m reading some of the contributions, I’d come across one that’d make me snort-laugh. A chain link fence covered in sadness, worry, hope, encouragement, and much needed humor.”
